Multi-Award winning group Volney Morgan & New-Ye burst onto the gospel scene with their electrifying stage presence, vibrant dance moves, rhythmic sounds and heartfelt performances. New-Ye brought together a group of friends from North London over 16 years ago who had big voices and great passion. Led by the high-energy and incredibly gifted vocalist, writer and front-man Volney Morgan.

The Deluxe version of their debut album ‘Focus’ released 2017 went straight to #1 in the UK iTunes Christian & Gospel Charts. ‘Focus Deluxe’ not only gave its listeners something to dance to but something to reflect on and in its own way reflected part of the journey and history so far for the group and leader Volney Morgan. The album also included their first international feature, U.S Gospel Artist and Stellar Award winner Micah Stampley on the fan favourite ‘What A Mighty God’. Following this Volney Morgan & New-Ye had the privilege of sharing the stage with US Gospel Artist Travis Greene in his first live concert in the UK.

Their journey has since led them to become MOBO Award and UK Entertainment Award winners, feature at the BBC Proms and have their records played on national and international radio including BBC Radio 1 Xtra, Premier Gospel Radio and BBC Radio 4. Hand-picked by Stormzy for his A Very Merky Christmas concert, New-Ye are no strangers to sharing stages with legends such as Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett, Michelle Williams, Matt Redman and Cece Winans. Volney Morgan & New-Ye have headlined various festivals and toured all over the world, appearing on national TV in many different territories and have even featured in films for the BBC.

In early 2021 they released their EP ‘Crossover (Live)’. After the unexpected worldwide occurrences of 2020 this EP was a response of thanksgiving to say we have made it, with all that has happened God has kept us and we are crossing over into another year.

In the fall of 2022, Volney Morgan & New-Ye worked with Apple Inc’s record label Platoon and released a single entitled ‘I Still Believe’ as a celebration to Gospel Heritage. The success of this single led to the group being chosen to perform in front of Apple’s CEO Tim Cook from the United States. A remix of this single was later released with amapiano-inspired production elements produced by Footsteps.

Following this 2023 marked a history defining moment for the group as they became the first British Gospel Act to be the Gospel Headline at the Big Church Festival, with an memorable performance on the main stage. They also delivered a first-of-its-kind live performance on Polish National TV and a spirit-filled worship set at the Royal Albert Hall.

Volney Morgan and New-Ye’s latest release and 4th EP ‘Inspire me’ was released in October 2023. On the run up to this project Volney Morgan & New Ye released a number of singles from the EP which all received strong editorial support from Spotify, Apple and Amazon as well as support from key figures in Gospel such as Donald Lawrence and Erica Campbell. Their lead single ‘Champion’ featured UK awarding winning Gospel Rapper Triple O and fused together their individual energy and passion resulting in a stand out song that communicates the Gospel in a vibrant way..

Volney Morgan & New-Ye are by no means ready to slow down and with their innovation and boldness, they continue to make a noticeable impact on Gospel Music throughout the world.
